POSITION OVERVIEW

SteerBridge is seeking a Construction Administrator (CM-CA) to provide Construction Management Services supporting infrastructure upgrades across Fargo, ND Veterans Affairs Medical Center. The CM-CA will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to the administration of construction, design/build, engineering, and facilities management for complex-construction projects. Services will include, but not limited to, pre-design phase services, design phase services, procurement phase services, construction services, claims services, administration services, and technical specialty services.

REQUIRED

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be eligible and able to pass a federal background check, as well as complete the necessary processes to receive a VA Personal Identity Verification (PIV) badge.
  • Must provide a minimum of three (3) projects of the scale and difficulty of this project and scope of work in which he/she held a similar position.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred; relevant construction experience (minimum 3 years) may substitute for education.
  • Proven experience in construction project oversight, including Quality Assurance, Safety, Scheduling, Cost Control, and Change Management.
  • Strong knowledge of general and subcontractor operations and site management practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor construction quality and identify discrepancies against construction documents.
  • Familiarity with baseline schedules and ability to assess progress and value of work in place.
  • Must have completed at least three comparable projects of similar scale and complexity.
  • Proficient in construction management software and Microsoft Office; capable of producing reports and maintaining accurate project documentation.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the construction analysis, development, design of and the preparation of complete plans and specifications for new work and improvements.
  • Provides administrative oversight and evaluation concerning all construction disciplines as they pertain to all project work.
  • Independently responsible and accountable for determining the administrative actions necessary in the development and completion of design projects, and review of the final contract documents.
  • Determines how project(s) will impact medical center based on results of a risk assessment that could have a severe impact on patient care.
  • Responsible for the overall management of construction documentation.

COMPENSATION

A salary commensurate with experience shall be offered. SteerBridge salaries depend on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to the contract budget, role, skill set and level of experience.
