Forester at HFI Consultants
Join Our Team as a Full-Time Forester in South West Washington.
At HFI Consultants, we’re dedicated to sustainable forestry and delivering exceptional forest management services to landowners and clients across the Pacific Northwest. Located in Clark County, Washington with our office in Brush Prairie, we’re seeking a motivated Forester to work alongside our Senior Foresters, helping us provide comprehensive forestry solutions. What You’ll Do:
- Prepare Forest Practices Applications to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Develop Timber Management Plans tailored to client, environmental & regulatory needs.
- Conduct Timber Cruising and Appraisals to assess forest resources accurately.
- Assist with Timber Sale Administration, supporting smooth and efficient operations.
- Plan and coordinate Silviculture activities to promote forest health and productivity.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma from an accredited Forestry program (required).
- Valid Pesticide Applicator License or willingness to obtain certification.
- Working experience in forestry is desired but not required—new grads are welcome!
- Solid understanding of Pacific Northwest timber cruising basics.
- Strong knowledge of Pacific Northwest silviculture science and best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively under the guidance of our Senior Forester.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a passion for fieldwork.
- Comfortable working in outdoor environments in varying weather conditions.
- Local to Clark County, WA, or willing to commute to our office and field sites.
