About the Role:

We’re looking for a Landscape Design Intern to join our team for the summer season. This paid internship is ideal for a current student or recent graduate in landscape architecture, horticulture, environmental design, or a related field who is eager to gain real-world, hands-on experience in both residential landscape design and project implementation.

This role is structured as a 3-month engagement , with the potential for flexibility depending on your school or summer schedule. The position is full-time but can accommodate part-time hours if needed.

What You’ll Do:

This is a hybrid role that blends design, fieldwork, and client interaction. You’ll work directly with our project manager and designer , with mentorship and support from our owners and sales team .

Onsite Responsibilities:

  • Assist in plant selection at local nurseries.
  • Place plants onsite in alignment with approved designs.
  • Participate in client walkthroughs to present and discuss designs.
  • Conduct post-project walkthroughs for quality control and design review.

Office/Remote Responsibilities:

  • Create and revise landscape designs using design software (AutoCAD, Land FX or similar).
  • Support with client communication, notes, and updates.
  • Prepare plant palettes, design decks, and basic estimates as needed.
  • Use internal communication software systems G-Suite, Slack, Aspire, and WhatsApp.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated in a program related to landscape design, architecture, horticulture, or sustainability.
  • Strong interest in plant design and residential landscapes.
  • Willingness to get your hands dirty and learn on the job.
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
  • Basic knowledge of Pacific Northwest plants is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and walk through active job sites.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus, but not required .

Compensation:

  • $20.76 per hour , paid weekly.
