Job Description

Job Title: Payroll Analyst

Location: Princeton, NJ 08543 | Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Duration: 6 Months

Pay Range: $30–$35.71/hr.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute end-to-end payroll processing using UKG Pro (formerly Ultipro), ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Perform 401(k) reconciliations and funding processes.
  • Oversee equity vesting and relocation payroll activities.
  • Execute General Ledger entries, reconciliations, and maintain the SAP payroll interface.
  • Coordinate and prepare payroll-related reporting for Finance, Accounting, and Compliance teams.
  • Ensure SOX and audit compliance in payroll processes.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reporting.
  • Support year-end W-2 preparation, processing, and validation.
  • Assist with balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Provide payroll analysis and ad hoc reporting for management.
  • Address employee inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR, Benefits, Compensation, Finance, and Technology.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of payroll experience in large corporate environments.
  • Proficiency with large-scale payroll systems (UKG Pro/Ultipro, ADP, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of gross-to-net payroll, taxation, and payroll compliance.
  • Experience with multi-state and Canadian payroll regulations.
  • Skilled in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, pivot tables, etc.).
  • Solid accounting background including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
  • Experience with state and local tax registration and reconciliation is a plus.
  • Must be a team player and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.

Preferred but Not Required:

  • UKG Pro / Ultipro system experience.
  • Experience supporting payroll for Canadian employees.
