Job Description

We are seeking a Real Estate Title and Survey Analyst to join our growing commercial real estate and housing practice in Jacksonville, FL. This critical role supports our legal team by reviewing and analyzing title commitments, surveys, and related documents for commercial real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have a sharp eye for detail, strong communication skills, and experience working with title companies and surveyors to resolve issues and ensure a smooth closing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze title commitments, ALTA/NSPS surveys, and related documentation for commercial and housing real estate transactions
  • Identify and resolve title issues, discrepancies, and encumbrances
  • Coordinate with title companies, surveyors, attorneys, lenders, and other stakeholders
  • Draft and respond to title objection letters
  • Ensure all title and survey materials are complete, accurate, and meet transaction deadlines
  • Assist with the preparation and review of closing documents
  • Maintain organized and accessible records of title and survey materials
  • Support attorneys and team members with title-related due diligence
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and lender requirements during the closing process
  • Conduct final review of title and survey documentation prior to closing
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients to provide updates and address concerns

Qualifications:

  • Some college coursework completed; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Prior experience working at a title company or law firm (commercial real estate focus strongly preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of title commitments, surveys, endorsements, legal descriptions, and related documents
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment
  • Comfortable managing multiple transactions simultaneously

Technology Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Experience with Adobe Pro and/or Kofax
  • Familiarity with DocuSign and online collaboration tools (e.g., ShareFile)
  • Experience with NetDocuments, Centerbase, or similar legal management systems a plus
