JOB STATEMENT :

Sterling Capital Management LLC (SCM), founded in 1970, is an indirect, wholly-owned subsidiary of Guardian Capital Group Limited. Headquartered in Charlotte, SCM provides investment advisory services through mutual funds, separately managed accounts, model portfolios, and other commingled vehicles offered through a variety of intermediary and managed account platforms. SCM’s five distinct investment teams provide a full complement of fixed income, active equity, and multi-asset solutions.

The Senior Marketing Analyst is responsible for creating and maintaining marketing materials for SCM’s multi-asset investment offering. Reporting to SCM’s Head of Marketing & Communications, this individual will join a high-volume team focused on both recurring deliverables and custom presentations for institutional and intermediary investment clients and prospects. The successful candidate will be a strong PowerPoint user who is equally comfortable working with economic data and charts as they are with proofreading long-form content. Experience with Seismic Content Management System or a similar platform is highly preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Manage product marketing process for multi-asset investment team, including standard prospect materials, client-specific materials, economic updates, and quarterly update process, utilizing product data and statistics.
  • Oversee thought leadership program for U.S. investment teams (formatting, proofreading, editing and promotion).
  • Create, design and update presentation materials and other marketing collateral in Seismic CMS.
  • Utilize brand-approved templates for materials and ensure brand standards are applied accurately
  • Work closely with marketing teammates and subject matter experts to ensure proper formatting of charts/graphs, for both standard and ad-hoc requests
  • Create accurate and visually compelling Excel charts based on data provided from a variety of sources for use in presentation materials
  • Adhere to regulatory guidelines for displaying required information/disclosures and updated data
  • Follow corporate procedures to coordinate compliance review of each presentation as required. Work closely and respectfully with compliance and marketing colleagues to ensure presentations are compliant and meet guidelines (FINRA, SEC, GIPS, and others as required)
  • Ensure that all materials are peer reviewed by marketing teammates, adhering to style standards, compliance rules, data/content accuracy and client-specific requirements
  • Support teammates by helping to proof completed presentations, and being available for back-up during high work volumes and/or teammate absences
  • Clearly communicate with team members to prioritize work (competing priorities, last minute requests) and discuss issues, questions, status of work with key stakeholders
  • Escalate complex issues and questions to superiors to mitigate risk of not meeting deliverables
  • Adhere to established processes to ensure accurate maintenance of files in Seismic CMS
  • Ensure that presentation content is kept updated as needed (quarterly, annually, etc.)
  • Application of basic ADA standards to externally published materials.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Undergraduate degree in business, marketing or communications
  • 3-5 years in a marketing or communications role in asset management or financial services
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (specifically, use of data for charts)
  • Experience with Seismic Content Management System (CMS) preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce/Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred
