VIDEO AND EVENT COORDINATOR
VPR Patient Outreach Program (VPR POP) connects our clients to the greatest resource in healthcare: the patient. We develop programs and resources that unite people living with progressive and rare diseases with others who are managing the same condition, sparking education and inspiration in patient communities across the country. Headquartered in Kansas City, we offer development, recruiting, training, management, creative services, and logistic support to clients in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.
We are looking for a driven, organized and passionate candidate to coordinate training events, video shoots, photo shoots, and setting up contracts with newly identified contractors. The perfect fit will be someone who enjoys connecting with others, performs well under pressure, is tech savvy (able to be trained on our scheduling software and database), a strong communicator, and truly cares about making a difference for others.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Video and Event Coordinator responsibilities will include:
· Planning of 8-10 Patient Meetings each year (15-40 attendees) including researching venues, site checks, meal planning, development of signage/table tents and related materials, creating rooming lists, securing AV equipment, securing photography and makeup services, ground transportation, and all other aspects related to creating a safe and enjoyable event for our patient speakers.
· Coordinating all patient video production, including interviewing patients, researching patient and crew availability, researching and securing location, booking crew and travel, craft services, scheduling preproduction calls, securing props and wardrobe, creating and distributing production schedules, handling talent releases, determining total project hours and facilitating payment to participants and crew, ordering transcripts, and overseeing related aspects. The Video and Event Coordinator will also accompany the crew to video shoots (12-15 videos per year of 1-2 days each) to represent VPR, uphold client standards, and ensure the safety and comfort of all participants.
· Maintaining and growing the database of trusted production partners and venues.
· Conducting interviews with patient speaker candidates.
· Ad hoc project assignments, as needed and mutually agreed upon.
The majority of the job will be conducted in-person from our offices on the Country Club Plaza from 9:00-5:00 Monday through Friday (and, during summer months, from 9:00-1:00 Fridays).
Salary Range: $48,500
