In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic security systems—including access control, card readers, electrified door hardware, and video surveillance systems—across commercial, healthcare, industrial, and institutional sites.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technician with strong low-voltage experience, a deep understanding of physical security systems, and a passion for delivering reliable, secure solutions that protect people, property, and assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to service calls, diagnose system faults, and implement timely, professional repairs or system corrections.
  • Support integration of security systems with BAS platforms, intrusion detection, or video management systems (VMS).
  • Provide end-user support and training for basic system operation, credential management, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain accurate service logs, inventory usage, and system documentation.
  • Collaborate with project managers, IT departments, and security integrators to support system retrofits, upgrades, or expansions.
  • Stay informed on access control platforms, security protocols, and industry standards, including Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, Honeywell Pro-Watch, or Software House.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience servicing access control, CCTV, or security systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of low-voltage wiring, control panels, relays, door hardware, and cabling best practices.
  • Experience with major access control platforms (e.g., Lenel, Genetec, Brivo, Avigilon, etc.).
  • Familiarity with IP networks, PoE devices, and basic IT troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, door schedules, and installation drawings.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required; ability to travel to job sites in the Louisville area.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Access control certifications (e.g., Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, etc.).
  • Experience with fire alarm systems or intrusion detection is a plus.
  • Knowledge of local and national codes related to life safety and security.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.

Why Join Us?

  • Work on high-impact security projects that protect critical facilities and infrastructure in the Louisville region.
  • Join a fast-growing, technology-driven company with a strong focus on innovation and reliability.
  • Competitive hourly pay, company vehicle or allowance, full medical/dental/vision coverage, 401(k) with company match, PTO, and paid holidays.
  • Training and certification opportunities for continued professional development.
