Valley Presbyterian Hospital (VPH) is a 350-bed, full-service, stand-alone, not-for-profit acute-care community hospital located in Van Nuys, California. The hospital is recognized as a Cardiac STEMI Receiving Center, Primary Stroke Center, and Pediatric Medical Center, with a designated Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics. The Position
Vice President, Human Resources
Reporting to the Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, the Vice President of Human Resources will serve as the senior-most HR leader at Valley Presbyterian Hospital. This executive will be responsible for setting the strategic vision for the HR function while overseeing daily operations including talent acquisition, employee relations, total rewards, HRIS, compliance, and organizational development. The VP will lead an HR team of approximately 20, including direct reports across HR operations, analytics, and occupational health.

Experience/Qualifications
• 8+ years of progressive HR leadership, preferably at the VP or Director level.
• Healthcare experience in California within the last 5 years strongly preferred.
• Master’s in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
• Experience with HRIS implementations; UKG preferred.
• Strong understanding of California labor laws, compliance, and employee relations.
• Experience supporting board-level reporting and governance is a plus.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
Compensation
For the selected candidate, a complete and competitive compensation package will be offered which includes salary target of $346,000 +/- dependent upon experience, incentive compensation, deferred compensation, a full suite of benefits, and relocation assistance.
