About the Role:

The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for driving growth within the commercial landscape sector in the Houston area. This individual will develop and execute strategic sales plans to acquire new clients, expand relationships with existing clients, and achieve ambitious sales targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to penetrate the assigned territory and achieve sales goals.
  • Identify and target key commercial clients, including property management companies, developers, HOAs, municipalities, and educational institutions.
  • Conduct thorough market research to understand local trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Develop compelling proposals and presentations that effectively communicate the value proposition of Dyna-Mist's services.
  • Manage and track sales activities and progress using CRM software, providing regular reports to management.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within client organizations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients within the assigned territory, ensuring exceptional customer service and responsiveness.
  • Proactively identify client needs and offer tailored landscape solutions.
  • Conduct regular client meetings and site visits to assess needs, present proposals, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Address and resolve client concerns and issues promptly and professionally.
  • Actively prospect for new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, referrals, and industry events.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and execute lead generation campaigns.
  • Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and association meetings to build relationships and generate leads.
  • Stay informed about new developments, technologies, and best practices in the commercial landscape industry.
  • Work closely with operations, estimating, and account management teams to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
  • Provide accurate and timely information to internal teams to facilitate effective service delivery.
  • Participate in sales meetings and contribute to the company's overall sales strategy.
  • Potentially mentor or guide junior sales team members as the company grows.
  • Develop and manage a sales budget for the assigned territory.
  • Accurately forecast sales opportunities and revenue.
  • Ensure pricing strategies are competitive and aligned with company profitability goals.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years of proven sales experience in the commercial landscape industry or a related service industry (e.g., property management, construction).
  • Established network of contacts within the commercial property sector in the Houston region is a significant advantage.
  • Strong understanding of landscape maintenance, design, build, and enhancement services.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications related to the landscape industry (e.g., CLT, ISA Certified Arborist).
  • Experience selling sustainable landscape solutions.
  • Familiarity with local regulations and permitting processes related to landscaping.

Pay range and compensation package:
