JOB SUMMARY: The Training & Development Business Partner I – Business Systems & Operations will support operating company training, compliance focused training, as well as new and existing business systems training for employees within the family of companies.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions:

  • Understand business needs and help drive training and development initiatives by partnering with stakeholders and subject matter experts across the organization.
  • Conduct needs assessments when working with operating companies and/or departments to identify training gaps to then identify and procure or design and develop effective training programs to address needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate training programs to ensure they are current and effective.
  • Develop project plans, storyboards, and scripts for eLearning and video trainings.
  • Create, revise, and maintain eLearning and eLearning content using Articulate 360 and other eLearning platforms.
  • Integrate emerging instructional methods and technologies into eLearning.
  • Create and capture multimedia and video products for use in trainings and then manipulate and edit digital imagery, video and audio for online trainings.
  • Develop graphics and design materials for classroom-based training and online training (eLearning and video) including instructor guides, student guides, and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Apply creative design to the discipline of instructional design with an emphasis on multimedia.
  • Develop instructional programs that leverage new technologies and multimedia.
  • Apply interactive design and learning principles to instructional solutions for adult learners.
  • Deliver virtual and in-person classroom trainings, including new employee orientation.
  • Create and maintain course evaluations and transcript reports for online and classroom training courses; compile and communicate these to measure training effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with other Training & Development team members on new, innovative ways to maximize training effectiveness.
  • Review all training materials for accuracy before approving and publishing to users.
  • Support, actively participate, and act in accordance with Wright’s culture of safety and employee ownership.
  • Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, communication, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years’ experience directly related to the essential job functions specified.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Possess strong knowledge and application of adult learning theory and instructional design principles, with a focus on learning technology and virtual facilitation.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Knowledge of various authoring and eLearning development tools preferred.
  • Ability to work autonomously, under general direction.
  • Possess strong communication, presentation, and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to translate technical terminology into readable content.
  • Possess high creativity skills with the ability to think outside of the box.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously within established time constraints.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendors.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
